1. The program
You refer organizations to Hank by Visios. When an organization you referred subscribes, you earn a commission on what it pays for its first 12 months, as described below.
2. Who can join
- Anyone at least 18 years old with a U.S. mailing address and a U.S. bank account for payouts.
- Before your first payout, you add a U.S. bank account and a signed IRS Form W-9 in your affiliate dashboard. Payouts wait until both are on file.
- Existing Hank customers are welcome to join.
- Visios employees and team members can't join.
There's no approval step. Your referral link and code start working after you sign in to your dashboard once with the code we email you, which confirms the email address is yours.
3. How referrals are credited
- Your link: when someone visits Hank's website through your link, their browser remembers it for 90 days with a first-party cookie. If they visit through another affiliate's link later, the later link is credited.
- Introductions: when you're talking with an organization directly, register it on your dashboard with the contact's email or the organization's website. For 90 days, an introduction beats any link. The first affiliate to register an organization owns the introduction.
- Your code: an organization can type your referral code when it subscribes. A code counts only when there's no introduction or link visit.
- An organization is matched to an introduction by the contact's exact email address or by its email domain. For free email providers such as Gmail, only the exact address counts.
- Credit is decided once, when the organization first subscribes, and doesn't change afterward.
4. What you earn
- 25% of net revenue from each organization you referred, for 12 months starting with its first payment. Net revenue is what the organization paid, less card processing fees charged by our payment processor and less refunds.
- Monthly plans earn on each payment, so upgrades and downgrades are reflected automatically.
- Annual plans: the commission on an annual payment is spread evenly over 12 months and each month is earned in its month. It isn't paid up front.
- The 12-month period ends 12 months after the first payment, whatever happens in between, including plan changes.
5. What doesn't earn commission
- Question packs (one-time credit purchases).
- Organizations that have had a Hank subscription before, matched by their billing account, by email address, and by their Salesforce org, including when they come back through a new account or a different affiliate.
- Your own organization, matched by email domain (or exact email for free email providers) and by Salesforce org.
- Existing Visios consulting clients, on a list Visios keeps.
- Payments made after the organization cancels, or after your account is deactivated.
6. Holds
- Each commission amount is held for 30 days after it's earned.
- Commission is also held until the organization connects its production Salesforce org to Hank and passes the checks in section 5. If it doesn't pass, the held commission is cancelled.
7. Cancellations, refunds, and chargebacks
- If an organization cancels, commission stops. Months an annual organization has already paid for still count.
- If money is refunded, or a chargeback is lost, commission on that money is cancelled. If it was already paid to you, the same amount comes off your future earnings. Any amount still owed stays on your account until it's made up.
8. Payouts
- Payouts are sent early each month by ACH to the U.S. bank account you give us, for everything that became payable by the end of the previous month.
- We pay when your balance is at least $50. Smaller balances carry over to the next month.
- You're responsible for giving us correct bank details. You can change them on your dashboard's Payout details page; we email you each time they change.
9. Taxes
You take part as an independent contractor and are responsible for your own taxes. If we pay you $600 or more in a calendar year, we'll send you a Form 1099-NEC using the details on your W-9.
10. Promoting Hank
- Be honest about what Hank does, and don't promise features, results, or prices that aren't on the Hank website.
- Tell people you earn a commission when you recommend Hank, as U.S. advertising rules (the FTC's endorsement guides) require.
- Don't send spam or unsolicited bulk email, and don't present yourself as Visios or as speaking for Visios.
- Don't create accounts, introductions, or visits to earn commission you wouldn't otherwise earn. Commission from fraud or misuse is cancelled.
11. Your information
Your bank details and W-9 are encrypted when they reach us. Only Visios can open them, and only to pay you and meet tax requirements; each time they're opened is recorded.
Your dashboard shows the organizations you referred by name and status only. You won't see their people, usage, or billing details.
12. Ending participation and changes
- You can leave the program at any time by emailing hank@visios.us.
- Visios may deactivate any affiliate account at any time. After deactivation, new payments don't earn commission; commission you've already earned is still paid, except commission cancelled under these terms.
- We may change these terms. We'll tell active affiliates by email before changes take effect, and the version you agreed to is recorded.
13. Relationship
You're an independent contractor, not an employee, partner, or agent of Visios, and you can't make commitments on Visios's behalf.
